Observership Interest
Available observership positions have been filled. The program is no longer accepting applications for 2024. Please check our website again in the fall for more information on 2025 availability.
Encouraging and supporting educational opportunities for those interested in pursuing medicine is a top priority for the Baton Rouge General Internal Medicine Residency Program. For consideration of an observership, the minimum requirements are:
- Successful completion and graduation from a medical school before the commencement of the observership period;
- Successful completion and passing of the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 examinations, with scores at a minimum of 240 or above; and,
- Clinical experience and overall interest in the program.
Submission of this form does not guarantee acceptance for an observership opportunity. Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will receive a response within 30 days of submission.
