Karthik Reddy, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine from Gandhi Medical College in Secunderabad India. He completed his residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Dr. Reddy is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Ethan Greenblatt, MD
Associate Program Director
Ethan Greenblatt, MD, a native of Baton Rouge, earned his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and his MD from LSU Health and Science Center New Orleans. He performed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Prior to joining The Baton Rouge Clinic’s Hospital Medicine Group, Dr. Greenblatt practiced at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine and Clinical Instructor for a year. Dr. Greenblatt is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as board certified in Pediatric Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Greenblatt is married with one daughter. Outside of the office, he considers himself an avid tiger fan, enjoying afternoons at Alex Box Stadium, fishing, barbecuing outdoors, playing video games, and being a husband and dad to his two kids.
Amir Ausef, MD

Amir H. Ausef, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine from American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. He completed his residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center and Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Ausef is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Venkat Banda, MD, FACP

Venkat Banda, MD, FACP, completed his Internal Medicine residency at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. Dr. Banda is board certified in internal medicine and hospital medicine. He serves as Designated Institutional Official and Chief Academic Officer for Baton Rouge General.
Breanna Campbell, MD
Faculty Member, Infectious Disease
Dr. Breanna Campbell earned her Doctorate of Medicine, with an additional certificate in global health, at Texas Tech University School of Medicine and her residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she received the Don Powell Jr. award for Excellence in Internal Medicine Residency. Dr. Campbell then completed an infectious disease fellowship at the University of Virginia, with her research focusing on improving health outcomes in chronic infectious diseases with special attention to patient-centered care and patient-physician communication. Dr. Campbell is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the HIV Medicine Association.
Amar Dave, MD

Amar Dave, MD, a native of Long Island, New York, earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from C.U. Shah Medical College, Surendranagar in 2015. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center in 2020. Dr. Dave is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana. He joined the Baton Rouge Clinic’s Hospital Medicine Group in August, 2020. While not at work, Dr. Dave enjoys photography, the outdoors, and going on hikes.
Aaron DeWitt, MD

Aaron DeWitt, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Cupecoy, St. Maarten. He completed his residency at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Dr. DeWitt is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Gerald Dynes, MD
Faculty Member, Neurology
Gerard J. Dynes, MD, performed his undergraduate studies at Manhattan College in New York and earned his M.D. from the New York University School of Medicine in 1994. His medical training continued with his medical residency in Neurology being completed in 1998 at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. In 1999, he earned a fellowship in Electromyography (EMG) and neuromuscular disorders at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. That same year Dr. Gerard Dynes joined The Baton Rouge Clinic and, with his wife and children, made Baton Rouge their home.
He is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Gerard J. Dynes is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana. His professional interests include the prevention and treatment of Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and the management of spasticity, including the use of Intrathecal Baclofen pumps.
Active in his community, Dr. Dynes has served as head of the Missions Committee of Jefferson United Methodist Church. He is also an Adult Leader for the Boy Scouts of America. Among his interests outside of the field of medicine are music and film.
Subhakar Gummadi, MD

Subhakar Gummadi, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine from Siddhartha Medical College in Vijayawada India. He completed his residency at Rush-Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park, Illinois. Dr. Gummadi is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Chad Kaplan, MD

Chad Kaplan MD, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Florida and his Medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada. Dr. Kaplan completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baton Rouge General Medical Center in 2022, where he served as Chief Resident. In additional to his role as core faculty for the residency program, he serves as the medical student Internal Medicine Clerkship Director. His professional interests including point-of-care ultrasound and simulation lab. Dr. Kaplan joined The Baton Rouge Clinic’s Hospital Medicine Group in August of 2022 after completing his residency training. In his free time, Dr. Kaplan enjoys playing golf, tennis, water skiing, cooking, and watching college football

Katherine May, MD, earned her Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences in New Orleans, LA. She completed her residency at the University of Mississippi in Jackson, MS. Dr. May is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Ashley Capace Perret, MD

Dr. Ashley Capace Perret is a native of New Orleans, LA, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Louisiana Lafayette in 2015 and her Medical Degree from The American University of the Caribbean, School of Medicine in 2020. Dr. Perret completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Baton Rouge General in 2023, where she served as Chief Resident from 2022–2023. Dr. Perret is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana and is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Perret is married and has one son.

Vasudev Tati, MD, earned his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in Karnataka, India and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Tati is board certified in internal medicine and is the chair for hospital-based physicians for Baton Rouge general. He also serves on the board for the Baton Rouge general foundation.
S. Raju Vatsavai, MD

Raju Vatsavai, MD, earned his medical degree from Siddartha Medical College in Vijayawada, India and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He also completed a clinical research fellowship in the department of Cardiology at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Raju is board certified in internal medicine.
Christopher Yaslik, MD

Dr. Christopher Yaslik, a native of Toledo, Ohio, earned his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 2012 and his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean, School of Medicine in 2018. Dr. Yaslik completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baton Rouge General Medical Center in 2021 and later that year joined The Baton Rouge Clinic’s Hospital Medicine Group. Dr. Yaslik is board certified and licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.
Jewel W. Crockett, MD

Dr. Jewel W. Crockett, a native of Brusly, Louisiana, has been practicing medicine for more than 20 years. Dr. Crockett earned her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 1992, and her medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in 1996. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine through LSU’s Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge, serving as Chief Resident from 1999-2000.
Dr. Crockett was a partner at the Internal Medicine Associates of Louisiana for 5 years, before joining The Baton Rouge Clinic’s Internal Medicine Department in 2005. Dr. Crockett is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana, and is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a former board member of the St. Joseph’s Academy and a current member of the Louisiana State Medical Society. Civically, Dr. Crockett currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition (BRYC), which aims to help underserved youth enter, persist in, and graduate from college and earn career-track jobs. While not at the office, Dr. Crockett enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children, while making time to enjoy cooking, reading, and traveling.
Koteswara Pothineni, MD

Dr. Koteswara Pothineni received his medical degree from Temple University/Conemaugh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania. He completed four fellowships, two at the University of Birmingham in Alabama and two at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Pothineni is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, cardiac CT and nuclear cardiology.
