Surgery Day
On your surgery day, you must arrive to your designated surgery location 2 hours before your scheduled procedure time. Surgeries are performed at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet, in the main hospital and at Center for Health. You will be notified during your pre-anesthesia evaluation which location to report to.
A patient will need a legal adult over the age of 18 years or older to drive them home and sign discharge documents for same day surgery patients.

Items to Bring:
- Medications in original containers (Blood thinners & weight loss medications, etc.)
- Photo ID
- Insurance cards
- Eyeglasses and case
- Hearing aids
- Dentures and case
- Socks or slippers
- Emergency contact numbers
- Living will (if applicable)
- CPAP machine/equipment (for overnight stays)
Items to Leave Home:
- Contact lenses
- Jewelry
- Any valuables (electronics, video cameras, etc.)
