Curriculum

The LPN Advanced Placement BSN program allows students the option to adjust their plan of study between full-time and part-time as needed each term to enable them to balance their academic, work, and family responsibilities. The full-time plan of study (if maintained for the duration of the program) is 6 trimesters (18 months), while the part-time plan of study (if maintained for the duration of the program) is 10 trimesters (30 months). The program requires successful completion of 68 hours of prerequisite and core courses and 52 hours of nursing course work.

Students must complete all nursing courses with a grade of C or better (or test out of eligible courses). A student is ineligible to continue the program if a grade of D or F is earned in two clinical nursing courses or if a required nonclinical nursing course is failed two times.

Advanced Placement Testing

Students admitted to the LPN Advanced Placement BSN program may earn up to 18 credit hours through advanced placement testing. Information regarding how to register for test outs will be provided after admission to the nursing program. The eligible courses are notated in the program of study below.
