Dr. Robert Wood, ABFP, graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and attended LSU School of Medicine, where he earned a Doctor of Medicine in 2002. He completed his residency at Baton Rouge General Medical Center and served as chief resident from July 2004 to June 2005. Dr. Wood is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians and Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Robert Wood is the best physician I have ever had. He takes the time to ask questions, listen to the answers, provide meaningful information, & take effective action to resolve any issues. In addition he is very likable, no airs. His chair side manner is great. It's unfortunate that good physicians are so rare & hard to find. Dr. Wood is outstanding.

We have always had excellent service with Dr. Wood's staff and with Dr. Wood. His staff will go out of their way to help you with anything you need help with. What I like most about Dr. Wood is that he actually really listens to what you have to say and does not hurry you in and out of his office. He makes sure that he has answered all of your questions about your health and he is very professional & very personable. I highly recommend Dr. Wood.

When I went, the nurse showed me into an older waiting room with a very short step to get up onto the examining table. I explained to her that I couldn't use that, and she put me then into the room with a bigger step up. So she was listening. I recommended that my husband go to Dr. Robert Wood. I found him to be an excellent physician. And I get much better feedback than most of my friends report.
