BRG Hosting Medicare Advantage Open House

BATON ROUGE, La. – A Medicare Advantage Open House will be held at Baton Rouge General (BRG) on Friday, Nov. 18 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Individuals interested in learning more about a Medicare Advantage plan will have the chance to hear from several plans and enroll if interested.

The following insurance plans will be on hand at the open house:

• Blue Cross
• Humana
• People’s Choice
• United
• Vantage
• WellCare

Medicare Advantage open enrollment opened on October 15, and seniors must select their 2023 plan by December 7. Research shows that 7 out of 10 Medicare beneficiaries won’t compare plans and coverage, and the numbers are even higher in those with lower incomes and in certain ethnic groups.

The open house will take place in the atrium of the Bluebonnet campus, located at 8585 Picardy Ave., Main Entrance. A free meal voucher will be provided for those who stop by each participating booth, and each attendee will also be entered to win a $250 Visa gift card.
