Happy One Year Anniversary to the Mid City ER!
Coffee and t-shirts and murals – oh my! What a fun way to celebrate a year of the Mid City Emergency Room.
On Friday, June 18 we celebrated the one year anniversary of re-opening the Mid City Emergency room. Over the past year, we’ve care for nearly 15,000 patients with a host of illnesses including COVID-19 and much more.
“COVID-19 is what aided us in reopening the emergency room, and now that COVID-19 is declining, thankfully, I hope each of you know that the organization is committed to keeping this organization open here at the Mid City campus,” our Mid City Chief Operating Officer Trisha Guidry told the crowd on Friday morning. “We’re going to move forward to be here for you and our community.”
Community Coffee was on site with free coffee for our employees to enjoy while the picked up their new Mid City t-shirts. The most exciting part of the event? Staff was able to leave their mark on our new mural located outside the ER. We’ve teamed up with The Walls Project to create a custom mural for everyone in the Mid City community to enjoy for years to come!
Thank you to our staff, our patients and the Mid City community for all your support. Stay tuned for the officially unveiling of the mural soon!
