Donna Edwards is more than a Mrs. The former First Lady is an anti-human
trafficking advocate and founder of the
Louisiana First Foundation which aims to enrich the lives of our Louisiana children.

is more than just sparkles. Jamie is an engineer and entrepreneur with

If the crown fits, Ava Watson is going to wear it. Ava is honored to serve
as the 2024 Miss Louisiana Teen, but she’s more than a Miss. Ava
is also a pilot with a passion for aviation that runs in her family. She’s
actively learning to fly in a Grumman Tiger plane and is a member of the

Since beginning her career with WBRZ 30 years ago, Sylvia Weatherspoon
has won the hearts of millions and become a community icon on the news
each night. Sylvia is more than just a familiar face, she’s also
a community volunteer. Her charity,
Sylvia’s Toys for Christmas, has provided thousands of toys to children over the last 9 years.
Number 12 on the court, Mikaylah Williams is a guard for the Louisiana
State University Women’s basketball team. She put together one of
the best freshman seasons in program history and earned SEC Freshman of
the Year. But Mikaylah is more than just a female athlete, she’s
