We follow CDC recommendations as well as local public health initiatives by offering HIV testing to all patients ages 13-65 and Hepatitis C testing for patients 18 and older.

What to Expect

  • The free testing is done by a simple blood draw — it’s that easy!
  • If you get a positive result, your blood sample will be sent off-site for confirmation. It’ll take 3-5 days to get results, and if confirmed positive, our navigator will contact you with next steps and referrals for treatment, regardless of your ability to pay.
  • If you get a positive result, we’ll need an updated phone number so that we can reach you with your follow-up testing results.
  • HIV and Hepatitis C testing is a routine part of health care but if you want to decline the test during this visit, please let your health care provider know.

Importance of Testing

  • 40% of new HIV infections are transmitted by people who don’t know they have it.
  • Hepatitis C is on the rise, with 57% of new infections occurring among 20–39-year-olds.
  • Diagnosing infections quickly and linking people to treatment immediately are crucial to reducing new HIV infections.
