It was only my second visit with Dr. Wood but he is great. Glad to have finally found a PCP that feels like a good fit.
Dr Wood was engaging. He listened to my questions and concerns. I feel he will be a good partner for me in my future health journey.
This visit was for me to get established with Dr. Wood as a patient. He was very easy to talk to and knowledgeable about my health issues. A good friend and a family member referred me to him, so I had high expectations and those expectations were met. His office staff were pleasant and helpful as well.

This isn't terribly important, but worth noting. - On my first appointment, it was made over the phone. I verified the time and date, but when I arrived, there was no record of an appointment. - On that visit, I called ahead to get directions to Dr. Wood's office. I was told to go to the Emergency Room entrance and they would direct me. After arriving there, they had no idea where his office was and sent me to Entrance 4. I asked a guard and was directed to Entrance 1. They knew where the office was and sent me to the Medical entrance. - Once I discovered I did not have an appointment, the receptionist was very kind and made a new (2nd) afternoon appointment for me the following week. - As I'm driving to my second appointment, I phoned ahead to let the office know I would be five minutes late. The receptionist looked up my name and said, "You're a new patient. Dr. Wood only sees new patients in the morning." So, she canceled my second appointment and made a third appointment in the morning of the following week.

Dr Wood and his team are truly amazing. From answering my questions on Mychart in a rapid way to responding to my pharmacy regarding refills swiftly even on weekends, I am always taken care of. Dr Wood is so attentive and thorough when approaching my care, I feel confident when I leave that I was heard and he will have me at my best!!

My prescription, a new prescription for eye drops for my eyes which were itching and watering and stinging was sent to the wrong pharmacy and I had to track it down and get it sent to the proper pharmacy.

The friendly attitude when you come in contact with the individual that acknowledge you at desk, nurses aide that gather information before the Doctor comes in. Then the Doctor when you're talking is listening to you means more than you can imagine.

The whole process is EXTREMELY non personal. I don't know if it is better elsewhere but in my recent experience, it does not appear so. I guess it is a result of the times, 10 minutes a year is the new expectation

Everyone was extremely helpful and polite. I cannot think of anything additional that would have improved my experience. The main thing that can be annoying (at other healthcare providers) is being kept waiting excessively past your allotted appt. time; however that was not the case when visiting BRG. I was seen very soon after my scheduled time, which was very nice to see. You are doing a fantastic job at this location.

I thank God for Dr. Jacob Wood. He is the very best family Practice doctor in Baton Rouge LA. Dr.Wood listen to my every concerns and gives me solutions to feel better or referral me to a specialist. He makes sure that I have all my shots for the year. He also made sure I'm taking the right medication. His staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My preop UA that was not initially put in computer as ordered with the blood work. I brought attention to tech. She provided a specimen cup and stated she'd find whoever and get it ordered. Specimen placed in basket as directed. I did see me name on specimen cup but now there's no result and UA is missing. Staff looking into this now.

This was the most pleasant, fastest appointment I've had in this office. The staff has always been friendly and Dr. Wood always meets my needs as a patient. However, I have waited up to an hour before and then waited more for lab. But this appointment was different. I was called back for my appointment quickly, I didn't wait long at all to see Dr. Wood, then lab called me almost immediately. keep it up!

He is a great doctor, but sometimes doesn't seem to fully focus on what you tell him. So he forgets. Then when you mention it again, it's like news again. But when you have his attention, he's really good.

Dr. Jacob Wood is very knowledgeable and has always taken the time to answer my questions.
The only issue is that the pharmacy still hasn't received our prescriptions. I'm assuming it's due to the issues with Change Health, as this has never happened with Dr Wood's office before. Other than that, and the wait time, we were extremely pleased with our visit, as always.

8:00 am check in had a long line. I checked in online but still had to wait in line at front desk. 2 questions not online were apparently not answered. Taken to exam room quickly but then waited 30-40 minutes. Waited for lab work as well. Not asked to schedule follow up appointment.
