Six Sigma Green & Black Belt
Lean Six Sigma is a 10-month training designed for individuals seeking process improvement strategies based on measurement and metrics. It provides a mathematical and statistical foundation for sound decision making, allowing organizations to identify problems, validate assumptions, brainstorm solutions, and plan for implementation. The program helps organizations increase customer value, improve patient outcomes, and improve quality, while reducing financial risk and offers better access, shorter wait times, and better service.
Learning Goal: Participants will receive a Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification by applying what they've learned while working on a project chosen by their employer. The trainee will have the knowledge and ability to use Lean Six Sigma tools in their daily job to constantly improve as they progress through the organization.
Course Objectives
- Comprehend the principles of Lean Six Sigma and apply the model as a road map for improvement projects
- Develop your ability to use data for improvement, including graphs, statistical analysis, and other essential quality improvement tools.
- Successfully support performance improvement events and adopt a Lean Six Sigma Culture through developing abilities in team facilitation, communication, decision-making, and understanding team culture.
- Make use of resources to promote rapid change
Course Details
- 10-month program
- 14 days of classroom training by a Master Black Belt (MBB)
- Weekly 30-minute mentoring session with MBB
- Participant leads a project with their team to apply learned skills
- Black belt candidates will take quizzes after each phase and final
- Study session is available for final exam
- Black Belts required to do a statistical workshop using discrete and continuous data
