Michael T. Weaver, MD Joins BRG Heart and Vascular Surgery

BATON ROUGE, La. – Michael T. Weaver, MD, FACS, a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon, has recently joined Baton Rouge General (BRG) Heart and Vascular Surgery. With over 30 years’ experience, Dr. Weaver specializes in heart valve and heart bypass surgery, and treating coronary artery disease and thoracic cancer.

Dr. Weaver received his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, then completed a residency in general surgery, also at LSU. He then completed a fellowship in cardiopulmonary surgery at Oregon Health & Science University. He also serves as an adjunct assistant professor of clinical surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans.

At BRG Heart and Vascular Surgery, Dr. Weaver joins a group of regional leaders in vascular care and surgery: Mickey Graphia, MD; Joseph Griffin, MD, FACS; Victor Q. Tran, MD, FACS; and M. Vincent Weaver, MD, FACS.
