Oanh Truong, MD Joins BRG at Mid City Clinic

BATON ROUGE, La. – Oanh Truong, MD, has recently joined Baton Rouge General Physicians as a family medicine physician, taking care of patients at one of BRG’s Mid City clinic locations, Family Health Center. She also serves as faculty in BRG’s Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Truong earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Rice University in Houston and a medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She completed her family medicine residency training at Northwestern University’s McGaw Medical Center, where she served as teaching chief and was part of the Global Health Clinical Scholars Program. At the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, she completed a fellowship in faculty development and global health. She also received a master’s degree in public health from the University of Pittsburgh and a diploma in international medicine and public health from the INMED Institute for International Medicine.
A graduate of Baton Rouge Magnet High School, Dr. Truong is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Louisiana Association of Family Physicians, and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
