BATON ROUGE, LA. -- Baton Rouge General (BRG) will open up applications March 1 for its 2022 Community Enhancement Award (CEA). Applications must be submitted through March 18. BRG will select a project to sponsor with up to $50,000 per year, for up to two years. The project will be selected based on its alignment with BRG’s mission and its ability to transform Baton Rouge in a significant and measurable way.
Organizations will be notified of their application status in early April via e-mail and invited to submit a formal proposal to the CEA selection committee. The CEA winner will be announced May 1.
The Community Enhancement Award is intended for non-profit organizations seeking financial support to implement transformative, sustainable projects that benefit Baton Rouge area residents in one of the following areas: social determinants of health, quality of place or population health.
The 2019 CEA was granted to two organizations, Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and Front Yard Bikes. The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge was selected for its heART trails project, which uses existing infrastructure to develop heart-shaped walking trails throughout Baton Rouge. Front Yard Bikes was selected for its youth development program in partnership with Cristo Rey Baton Rouge.
More details, including the online application and a timeline of the process, are available here.
