Unique spellings dominate Baton Rouge General’s Birth Center this year
Baton Rouge, LA – In 2017, the most popular names at Baton Rouge General’s Birth Center were spelled in a variety of ways.
Only 30 percent of babies born at Baton Rouge General’s Birth Center in the last year share a name and spelling with another BRG newborn. That’s because even names that sound alike are often spelled many different ways. For example, the second most popular girl’s name of the year came in 5 different variations: Kayleigh, Kai’Leigh, Kay’lee, Kailey, and Cay’Lee.
However, the top spot for both genders were the more traditional Olivia and Owen.
