Steve McDaniel, MD

Bio

Dr. Steve McDaniel is a fellowship-trained pain management specialist, who is board certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology. He is a New Orleans native and became the founder and owner of Baton Rouge Pain Management, prior to joining Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic. Dr. McDaniel’s focus is to minimize pain by using a multi-modal approach and by offering alternatives to the use of opioid medication.

“I’m always excited to offer patients alternative options to opioid medications when treating their chronic pain. With the opioid epidemic taking place in this country, I feel that we as physicians, are obligated to approach the treatment of pain from different angles other than the use of medications alone. My goal is to decrease pain and help my patients return to a more active lifestyle.”

In his spare time, Dr. McDaniel enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. They are active members at St. George Catholic Church and various organizations within the Baton Rouge Community. He is an avid fisherman, likes cooking and loves LSU football.
